Set up in 2001, the .NAME generic top-level domain name extension is the sole TLD intended for personal sites only. These domain names can include personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are known by. Initially, only third-level registrations were permitted, so if you desired to order john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already registered third-level domain names remained operational.

Through our company, you can order your .NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to modify the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an existing domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer authorization key from the present registration provider and we will renew it once the transfer has been completed. There are no particular stipulations on who can get a dot NAME domain, but in order to preserve the concept behind its establishment alive, the Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.
