A catch-all functionality that is activated for a particular email mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. To put it differently, if you deactivate an email address and somebody still sends an email message to it, or to any misspelled address under the exact same domain, you will receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be vital in case you are running a company, for example. Since you may begin receiving junk messages, you can combine the catch-all functionality with email filters in order to get only legitimate messages in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting
You will be able to set up a catch-all e-mailbox without any difficulty if you’ve got a shared hosting plan with our company. The Email Manager in our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel is fully featured, yet amazingly intuitive, and it will enable you to enable various options, including the catch-all one, with no more than a few clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you’ve set up will be enumerated alphabetically in this section and to the right of each of them you’ll find a mini "Catch-all" logo. Clicking on it once will activate this feature, clicking it twice will deactivate it. Since you can have just one such mailbox per domain, our system will alert you if you’ve already got another one with this feature activated or if you have activated email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
You’ll be able to create a catch-all email address with no more than one click in case you have a semi-dedicated server with us and your emails are handled by our cloud platform. All the addresses that you create using any domain name hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be enumerated in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a tiny "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to enable this feature will be to click that icon. In the very same fashion you’ll be able to deactivate the feature, in case you don’t need it anymore. Our system will inform you in case you are attempting to enable a second catch-all email address for a given domain or in case there’s enabled email forwarding, but it’ll never disable or alter anything automatically and without your permission.
